Admission and documentation requirements
You will need to be nominated
The exchange programmes at UCN welcome students enrolled in our many partner institutions around the world to spend a semester studying with us. You will be able to study with us through EU's mobility programme Erasmus+ or a bilateral agreement.
Talk to the international office at your home institution to find out, if UCN is a partner. Your home institution must then contact UCN to nominate you as a candidate for partner-exchange.
Not from a partner institution?
Contact us about your possibilities.
Academic match
Your home institution and UCN will carefully evaluate, if UCN's exchange programme matches the academic scope and curriculum of the programme you are enrolled in at home. This evaluation also helps us ensure that each course or activity you complete is eligible for credit at your home institution.
You must have an English level of B2 or higher (certificate is required) to attend UCN's English-taught exchange programmes.
Accepted English tests
You may document your English proficiency by completing and uploading one of our accepted tests:
(Minimum score: 6.5)
TOEFL internet-based test
(UCN’s code is 7294. Minimum score: 83)
Cambridge ESOL examinations
(Advanced/CAE or Proficiency/CPE - Grade: C, B or A)
Cambridge ESOL examinations First Certificate
(Grade: A)
Oxford Online Placement test
(Minimum score: 75 overall + 75 in each subtest)
UCN's own test
(Minimum score: 75 overall + 75 in each subtest)
If you do not upload an English test, you will automatically be invited to complete a test which UCN issues. Please note that if you choose to be tested by UCN, we may also invite you for an online interview upon our request.
Native speakers are exempted - but need an official letter
If English is your first language, you are exempted from language testing. Instead you will need to obtain an official letter from your home institution confirming that you are following a fully English-taught programme.

A learning agreement is a plan that details what courses or research/training/teaching activities you intend to achieve during your exchange at UCN. Your learning agreement must be approved and signed by both your home institution and yourself. -
Academic transcript of records
